Teaching  Aims:
Language  goal: talk about jobs:

a.談論自己或他人的職業
b.談論自己或他人將來想從事的職業
c.了解一些職業的具體任務

Key Points:
Words: waiter, nurse, bank clerk, policeman, reporter, shop  assistant,doctor,actor,policewoman,student,teacher
Sentence Structures:


What do you do?
I’m a /an…
What does he/she do?
He’s /she’s  a/an…
What do you want to be?
I want to be a/an…
What does he/she want to be?
He/She wants to be a/an…


Difficult Points:
學生能夠自如的談論各種不同的工作,並簡單介紹自己父母的工作及將來想從事的工作。

Teaching Procedure:
.Pre-task
Preparation
(multimedia)
1.Warm-up
Ask students to listen to a song of Jay Chou
2.Lead-in
Ask students to watch the photos (Jay Chou and Jackie Chan)
T: Do you know them?

Ask students to watch the photo of Jay Chou
T: What does he do?
Ss: He’s a singer.
Watch the photo of Jackie Chan
T: What does he do?
Ss: He’s an actor.

(通過聽歌曲,觀看圖片,吸引學生的注意力,激發學生的興趣,同時通過老師的提問,導入新課,而且因學生對這兩個人物都很熟悉,所以也能夠給予正確的回答)

Procedure

  1. Language goal

Ask students to look at the language goal: talk about jobs.

(出示語言目標,能夠更好的讓每個學生都明確本節課的任務)

  1. Play a guessing game

Ask students to watch the pictures and try to read the descriptive sentences about different jobs. Then guess “ What does he/she do?”

(通过这个猜测游戏,让学生了解一些职业的具体任务,同时对句型“What does he/she do?   He’s/she’s  a/an…” 也起一个简单练习的作用)

  1. Reading and filling in the blanks.

Ask students to read these sentences by themselves. (5 minutes)
Then fill in

(學生通過這個練習,更加熟悉這幾種職業的具體任務,且能試著複述下來)

  1. Pair Work

Ask students to watch the pictures and make their own conversations in pairs. Using :
What does he/she do?
He’s /she’s a/an…

(學生通過機械性的模仿,熟悉新句型的基本結構和表達方法,同時在這個部分,學生也談論了他人的職業)

Ask students to watch the last two pictures again.
T:   What do you do? And what do I do?
Ss:  I’m a student.
T:   I’m a teacher. Now I’m a teacher, but I want to be an actor.

I want to be a/an…

(通過此對話,導入下面的新句型)

  1.  Pair Work

Ask students to make their own conversations.

(通過這個練習,學生談論自己將來想從事的職業)

T:   What do you want to be?
S1:  I want to be a policeman.
T:   What does he want to be?

What does he/she want to be?
He/She wants to be a/an…

  1.  Group Work

Ask students to practice the conversation in groups of three.

(學生通過這個練習,談論他人將來想從事的職業)

  1.  Summary

Summarize what we have learned this class (the words and the sentence structures.)

(此部分讓學生更加清楚本節課的重點)

Activity
1.有答必問
(讓學生複習重點句型)
2. Make a survey:   What do your parents do?
What do they want to be?
and write a passage.

(鞏固課堂學習內容,並通過筆頭作業落實)
